Our Genesis

Founded in Oakland, For Oakland

Established in late 2024, the Alysse Williams Foundation emerged from a deep commitment to East Bay communities. We partner with local schools and organizations to provide direct learning grants and practical skill-building resources.

Our mission is to expand academic enrichment and personal growth opportunities, ensuring equitable access for young people facing structural barriers to success.

Our Commitment

Accountability and Community-Led

As a California nonprofit public benefit corporation, we operate with full transparency and rigorous accountability. Our governance structure ensures compliance with all public benefit charter requirements, providing institutional grantors and donors complete confidence.

Our advisory board comprises local educators and community leaders from the East Bay, ensuring our programs are always youth-centered and deeply rooted in neighborhood needs. We listen first, then act.
